About 2019 Colorado Ladies Retreat

Ladies and girls in 8th through 12th grade! Join us for a dynamic weekend of fun, worship and the Word. Beaver Run Resort provides the perfect place to gather with women of like faith and deepen our relationships with God. With workshops designed to meet the needs of today’s woman, you will not leave disappointed. Make plans to attend today! Amount includes cost of retreat, lodging and Sunday breakfast.

  1. Growing Up is Hard To Do – Tressa Jamil will be discussing how to overcome the challenges of “Adulting". This workshop is designed for those ladies who are in their 20’s but is open to everyone.

  2. Self Defense – It’s always a good idea to know how to defend yourself if you get in a sticky situation. Dan and Shawna Shepherd make it fun and informative.

  3. Finding God’s Will – The most perfect place to be is right in the middle of God’s plan but that is easier said than done. Tonya Blessing will be talking about what it means to be in God’s will and how you live it.

  4. This Thing Called Beautiful – You are God’s excellent beautiful creation! But what do you do when you feel everything but beautiful? In fact, you feel more like dung on the earth. Come hear a bit more about God, yourself and this thing called beautiful.

  5. Finishing Well – Do you want to stroll into Heaven with your Easter bonnet and white gloves lovely? Or do you want to skid into Heaven, worn out, beat up, with just one more lost sheep under your arm? Join Vicki Proffit has she shares with us how to finish well.

  6. What is Your Best Yes? – Linda Bottoms will be discussing “Your Best Yes" by Lysa Terkeurst and sharing how to know when your answer needs to be yes or when it needs to be no.

  7. How to Rest When You Are A Caregiver – Being a Caregiver is a full-time job and many times it’s a lifelong commitment. Karen Colvin will share her insight on what it means to rest when your priority is others.

  8. Help, I Have A Blended Family – Blended families are now a part of the Body of Christ as never before. The complications of step mothers and fathers bring unique challenges to parenting and marriage. Beth Nimmo will be sharing her struggles and lessons learned in this process. God is always the answer to our needs and prayers and has been so faithful to meet hers.

  9. Fall in Love with Bible Study: Tips for a Powerful and Consistent Quiet Time – If you yearn to be a woman of God who has a CONSISTENT and POWERFUL Bible study time and prayer life, then this workshop is for you! Ashley Varner will be sharing practical tips to; finding time to read your Bible, study the Bible whether you're a newbie or an old pro, applying what you learn to your everyday circumstances, enjoying your quiet time with the Lord and teaching your kids how to love God's Word. You can go from being a woman who has to drag herself out of bed to read the Bible and change into a woman with a burning desire and love for God's Word that keeps you coming back for more.

  1. Make it and Take It – Debbie Johnson will be hosting a great Make It and Take It class for $15 per person.


  1. Me and My Hormones – Hormones are no respecter of age. Many women struggle with hormone issues even before they reach the dreaded Menopause stage of life. Dr. Sonja O'Brien will be teaching what hormones are, how they affect us and what we can do about it. Dr. Sonja O'Bryan, Pharm.D. received her Bachelor's degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy and her Doctorate from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, she also is a Board Certified Healthcare Diplomate with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
